Denton, TX – Does your cabinet contain unused or expired medications? Flushing them down a toilet or drain could harm the environment, and throwing them into the trash could harm children or pets or allow the products to fall into the wrong hands. Instead, join us for the City of Denton’s first Drug Disposal Day. This event is free to all Denton County households (this event is not open to commercial customers).
The event will be held on Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Professional Office Building located at 3535 S. I-35E, Denton, TX 76210. The building is located on the Denton Regional Campus.
Here’s what you do:
• Clean out your medicine cabinet.
• Black out all the names or other personal information on the container.
• We’ll collect the drugs, then properly treat and dispose of them at no charge.
Items being collected for disposal include: prescriptions • over-the-counter drugs • powders • creams • ampoules • liquids • gels • inhalers • suppositories • and more.
